My new preferred method of tracking Covid in Massachusetts, a measurement method uninfluenced by at-large testing rates or home tests not reported to the Department of Public Health. After hitting a low point at the end of March, the infection rate climbed in April and May, then declined, settling down to about 5% by July. Despite the relatively high numbers, very few people are getting so sick that they need hospital treatment.
